Dear Customer,

Palo Alto Networks to maintain best-in-class security and operations and proactive has analyzed the build for your Prisma Access deployment and as a result, we have detected potential memory/session leak issues impacting your tenant, therefore it is necessary to schedule a maintenance window to upgrade.

Reason:
This upgrade is crucial to ensuring the stability and security of our services. The upgrade also addresses the vulnerability to CVE-2024-3596 for customers using non-TLS-based PAP and CHAP.

Rollout:
The rollout will begin in phases on October 18th, 2024 between 23:00 UTC and October 19th, 2024 07:00 UTC.

Impact:
This upgrade affects all the running instances, including Mobile User Gateways and Portals

Actions:
Retrieve all active gateway and portal IP addresses before the upgrade.
Verify that you have added those addresses to your allow lists
No action is required for ‘Remote Networks’, ‘Service Connections’ and 'Explicit Proxy' deployments.

We apologize for the inconvenience this may cause and assure you that our team will work diligently to complete the upgrade as swiftly as possible.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation during this time. If you have any further questions or require assistance, please feel free to reach out to your Palo Alto Networks account team, the customer success team or to the support team.
